Daimler aims to launch the car sharing service in China
The German Daimler brand is in talks with the Chinese Geely Group to set up a 50-50 joint venture to launch ride-hailing and car-sharing services in China.
Daimler would be considering using the Denza electric vehicle brand, the result of the joint venture with the Chinese manufacturer BYD.
Last week Daimler President Dieter Zetsche at the Paris Auto Show described the talks with Geely about possible projects as "very constructive", saying they seem very promising so far. Without however entering into the specifics of the ongoing negotiations.
